The Barlow is the best thing to happen to Sebastopol since apples! There is so much fun stuff here and so much amazing food. Several breweries, one distillery, a few wine tasting rooms, including a self-serve wine tasting place that can get out of hand real quick. There is a great cider room too, but they will close early to accommodate their employees' social lives. Seen it happen.
I don't know much about the history of this area but The Barlow is a collection of converted warehouses that are now a variety of restaurants, breweries, boutiques, etc. it's a nice place to walk around and do some window shopping and they seem to have events throughout the year. It's close to downtown so if you're in the area, it's definitely worth taking some time to explore it.
I had no idea The Barlow district even existed until one day last year we accidentally drove up on it. It's a beautiful area with several repurposed farm storehouses lining the main road. We've now gone back a couple of times and the storefronts seem to be increasing each visit. For those of you who aren't in the know, The Barlow is a 12 acre outdoor market district where you can find local food, wine, beer various retail stores - all local to Sonoma.
I've been to a couple of the restaurants (The Farmers Wife and Acre Pizza), the coffee shop (Taylor Lane), and a brewery (Crooked Goat), and all were excellent. Parking is plentiful (at least when I've been there) and free (but keep it to 2 hours).
I see they are now offering tasting tours around the district which I think would be excellent and give you a mouth watering sampling of what the district offers. For sure visit The Barlow next time you pass through Sebastopol and be sure to arrive thirsty and with an empty stomach.
Fantastic venues for artists, craft people, and musicians of all kinds. Also great food and wine selections. The Barlow's music events with multiple stages are incredible too.
This Makers Market was a great event. Really quality vendors and a nice scene - mix of visitors and locals. We have a high standard in Sonoma County because there are so many creative and talented makers. This was a great event and I hope there will another before Xmas.
Terrific place with many good shops and restaurants. They have a unique system in which you can order food or drinks and get delivered to your location with The Barlow.
Fun place for adults and kids. Bike friendly so you can ride the trail and come back for lunch or dinner. Really good options but pizza and ice cream are undefeated. If you arrive after 5 pm they take away the children's outdoor blocks.
This is a really fun place to visit; a great tourist destination. Sebastopol has long been regarded as a haven for aspiring artists, and the crafts displayed here are quite unique and of high quality. There are plenty of places to eat and wander around while you eat your ice cream. Plenty of free parking. Given only 4 stars because the buildings are old and the crafts are sometimes expensive. Still, the shop owners have made it a welcoming and enjoyable place to take in the beauty of their stores.
LOVE THIS PLACE.....WAREHOUSES CONVERTED INTO......Bistros, Wine and Beer Bars, Ice Cream, Playground, Public Restrooms...4 Blocks long not far from Old Town.
I went to Rewind for a birthday party. Never been there. It was really cool. Lots of fun games to play. Very cool automated drink machine. Very clean place wonderful helpful staff. Kareoke was a lot of fun too. Great place to go for kids and adults. 🤩 …
